In CrossFit, Masters athletes are divided into age categories starting at 35–39, then moving in five-year increments: 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, and 70+.
PRO MASTERS: 2–2:30 hours for a single session, or split into two 45–60 minute sessions.
FLAGSHIP MASTERS: Around 90 minutes, completed in one session.
PRO MASTERS: 5 full days + 1 active recovery conditioning day.
FLAGSHIP MASTERS: 4 full training days with an optional 5th + 1 active recovery day.
HWPO Masters blends volume reduction, load guidance, and skill-specificity tailored to the aging athlete. It includes preventive activation before sessions, prioritises recovery throughout the week, and provides movement adjustments to keep Masters athletes training safely and effectively in the long term.
Because it ensures Masters athletes receive the same elite coaching, structure, and progression as the rest of the HWPO community — just adapted for their season, goals, and physical needs. This keeps Masters athletes connected to the broader HWPO ecosystem while receiving training specifically designed for them.
