Change what does not suit your gym

adapt-for-your-gym

The programming is a starting point, not a rulebook. This is the part I most want you to hear: If a movement does not suit your space or your members, change it.

Why that is allowed

We are a GPP program. Some cycles carry specific goals, and those goals are not important to every member in your gym. If somebody needs a goblet squat instead of a front squat, that is the movement they should be doing.

Your coaching team knows that room better than I do. They know who is coming back from a shoulder injury, who has a competition in six weeks, and who has never held a barbell. I cannot write for that from here.

We build for real gyms

GHD sit-ups are a good example. We leave them out on purpose, because the impact is high and most gyms own one or two of them. We want to offer a program that is inclusive and builds members up for longevity.

The same thinking runs through the equipment choices across all seven programs.

Do not overthink it

I often find people are fearful that if they change something, they will completely change the goal of the workout. Your coaching team knows best in those circumstances.

If you are ever unsure, ask in the AFFILIATE chat channel. That is what it is there for.
