Run focus as a paid product

Turn an eight-week cycle into a capped, premium, semi-private offering.

FOCUS is an eight-week cycle built to target one skill at a time, and it is already in your subscription. A new block every cycle, built around a single skill or modality, with the coaching progressions written into every session.

It is designed to help members address their weaknesses and reach their full potential.

Most gyms put it on the timetable as another class. The gyms getting the most out of it do something else. They run it small, they run it semi-private, and they charge for it. Find the FOCUS overview and notes in Circle:

Why the format sells itself

Skill work rewards individual attention, so the format that serves your members best happens to be the one they will pay a premium for. A set start date, three coached sessions a week, a capped group and a clear outcome eight weeks later.

Semi-private allows for more individualised attention, fosters stronger member-coach relationships, and accelerates progress. Beyond the member experience, FOCUS is an excellent revenue-generating tool, offering a premium service that keeps members engaged and consistently improving.

The numbers I would start with

Cap the group at six to ten members and price it per cycle rather than per session.

Six to ten is small enough that a coach can actually coach and large enough to be worth the slot. Per cycle rather than per session because a defined start and finish is far easier to sell and far easier to fill, and because you know your numbers before it starts rather than watching them drift.

Getting the first one out of the door

Give it a name your members will recognise, something that describes the outcome rather than the programming. Put a price on it, open a sign-up sheet, and put it in front of the members you already know want it.

Session details, coaching notes and resources are waiting in CIRCLE.

Do not overthink the first one. Run it, see what fills and what does not, and adjust the second one. Frankie and I are in the AFFILIATE chat channel, and we will help you plan it.
