Participate in the ‘OLETA’ workout throughout the month of February and help us spread awareness.

Why are we spreading awareness?

In partnership with The Phoenix, the HWPO Training community will be participating in the ‘OLETA’ workout in remembrance of Major Oleta during black history month. We want YOU to help us raise awareness by getting involved with the workout and posting on social media.

Sep 8, 1913 was Major Oleta’s birthday, and the 10 rounds means there’s one rep for every female officer in WW2 for the States (300 total). She was one of 3 black female officers, and the only black female officer to be retained by the military after the war ended. She was an advocate both for black and women rights, and did so for nearly 60 years after that through multiple government agencies.

How YOU can get involved

Participate in ‘OLETA’ throughout the entire month of February, and share your experience on social media. Make sure you tag @risecoverlive and @hwpotraining in your post or story. Here’s the workout:

  • 10 Rounds:
  • 9 Hang Power Cleans
  • 8 Push Presses
  • 13 Air Squats
  • Barbell - 95/65
