Is it the kind of quote that makes you pause and think? One that reminds you of what actually matters to you? Or maybe it’s the kind that hits you right in the “feels” and gives you that little jolt you didn’t know you needed.
I know some people say they don’t need external motivation to take action — and maybe that’s true — but I’ve always believed that the right words, at the right time, can shift your mindset in a powerful way.
I love a good quote. I’ve been adding one to the top of every weekly HWPO Affiliate Programming since I started writing programming back in 2016. It’s become a ritual for me — I search for a quote that sets the tone for the week, giving our coaches and gym owners a second to reflect, recharge, or re-align with their purpose.
Sometimes the quote hits me harder than I expect. I’ll come across something that speaks exactly to what I’m going through in my own life, and it becomes a reminder of what I need to hear most.
There’s no shortage of brilliant thinkers, writers, and leaders to draw from. And the best part? Our team has some favorites too — so I thought I’d share a few. Maybe one of these will light a fire under you this week.
It’s cool to see what these quotes reveal about the people on our team. HARD WORK. Grit. Integrity. Growth. These values SHOW UP over and over again — and they’re a big part of what holds us together.
Quotes aren’t just cool tattoos or locker room slogans. They’re snapshots of what we believe and what keeps us going.
With all this being said, I’ll leave you with powerful words by Theodore Roosevelt that consistently has me reflecting on how courageous I can be and how kind I need to be to those who dare:
